About

Hey 🙂
Thank you for joining me here on my journey, and my website, seeking to make it home to my journeys and ponderings. And feel it will always be a work in progress, a journey in progress just like me 🙂
The belongings we carry in our hearts
I was born in Chennai, city of my birth, Tamil Nadu place of my roots
Grew up in Mumbai, city of my heart, a Mumbaikar by heart
Briefly lived in Vancouver – beautiful city of my “dream, what would it have been”
Bangalorean by soul – moved to Bangalore where I feel I began looking within, becoming aware of interconnections and beyond
and who knows what life has in gift for me ahead :).
I received an Engineering degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada. I worked in technology and marketing analytics before moving to Bangalore. When I ponder upon years that had gone by, till then, I remember feeling joy writing poems, loved singing, art, the magic of words, loved being part of groups for the love of creation and culture, wonderment, loved being with people talking, listening and sharing.
During my MBA, I took courses in marketing, strategy, human resources/culture/organizational development and sustainability. I remember doing a course with my under-grad peers ‘Social and Non-Profit Marketing’ (I was the only one from my MBA class, it was a meaningful interesting experience). Another that comes to mind is ‘Strategic Management of Services’ where we would work on and explore the design, the blueprint of the entire journey. I also pursued an elective in creativity which I thoroughly cherished, cherish, a thread that wove through what I perhaps already was and was becoming and weaves in through my work, my practice, my person, I am grateful.
The journey here in Bangalore has led me into the world of stories and storytelling. The dots that began emerging long ago, started connecting and still do. Grateful to teachers, friends, experiences, mentors, spaces. I felt drawn to experiencing learning in spaces with connections, places with holding, comforting rituals, light and healing, wonderment, therapeutic spaces, places with expressive arts, music, drama, song, poetry, words, books, images, silence just spoke to me and are taking me ahead and I journey on…
My heart filled with joy, hope and warmth as I began discovering life and the world through the lens of stories about the inter-connectedness of it all, the interconnectedness of us all, grateful to witness this as part nature, the world.
I find myself feeling like a story listener, storyteller. expressive arts based practitioner and therapeutic facilitator, mentor and coach. Background in engineering, strategy and marketing. Believer of a warm, holding, healing space. Find it very fulfilling to hold space for people (across ages) where they can reconnect with themselves and bond with each other (me with the lens of we) through story, drama, song, art, books, play, expression. Seek to continue contributing to foster well-being, nurturing wonder. To support people to dance and heal with their imaginative selves and live fulfilling lives. Seeking to do my part to work with people (child/adult), groups, educational institutions, communities, and organizations. To the causes of well-being, bonding, wonder, dreams, books, the extra in the ordinary, environment, art… where life’s journey takes me.
My journey of stories began with a question on a fulfilling life, a life of meaning, seeking fulfilling moments, moment by moment, rozmarra ki ruhaniyat. And that still is so present in me and then slowly the journey has taken me to the world of stories, traditional, biographical, stories that are becoming, stories for pondering, growth, lightness, healing, bonding, and more … And an image of the bright lamp came to me (and my husband) , the lamp that is always within you and me, deep down, the guiding light leading us on our journeys which became the symbol.
Love,
